# CLI reference

Source: /docs/reference/cli/overview.md

The CLI gives a coding agent access to the same project concepts you inspect in the platform: source versions, data, execution, knowledge, and published applications. Use it from an initialized local workspace.

| Task | Commands | Reference |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Sign in and select organization | `login`, global `--org-id` | [Configuration](/docs/reference/cli/configuration) |
| Create or attach a workspace | `init`, first `pull --project-id` | [Projects](/docs/reference/cli/projects) |
| Sync business knowledge and project context | `context init/pull/push/status/read/versions` | [Projects](/docs/reference/cli/projects#project-context-and-business-knowledge) |
| Register and synchronize code | `create`, `registry`, `status`, `commit`, `pull`, `recover` | [Resources](/docs/reference/cli/resources) |
| Browse and attach blueprints | `designs catalog/search/metadata/read/code/preview/attach/detach/list` | [Blueprints](/docs/reference/cli/resources#blueprints-and-design-references) |
| Attach and inspect documents | `upload file`, `files`, `files preview` | [Resource files](/docs/reference/cli/resources#source-documentation-and-agent-attachments) |
| Inspect and query data | `upload table`, `tables`, `table`, `analyze` | [Data commands](/docs/reference/cli/data) |
| Review database migration state | `database`, `--approve`, `--reject` | [Data commands](/docs/reference/cli/data#inspect-and-approve-database-migrations) |
| Prepare, test, run, publish | `build`, `test`, `run`, `deploy`, `upgrade`, `undeploy` | [Execution](/docs/reference/cli/execution) |
| Follow submitted work | `job`, `logs` | [Execution](/docs/reference/cli/execution#follow-existing-work) |
| Run a local React app | `dev` | [Local development](/docs/reference/cli/local-development) |
| Provide connection values or secrets | `connector --configure`, `secret set` | [Configuration](/docs/reference/cli/configuration) |
| Install coding-agent guidance | `skills install` | [Installation](/docs/getting-started/installation#add-coding-agent-guidance) |

Use `vortexify COMMAND --help` for the command's available flags. Options such as `--json` are command-specific, not global flags. `vortexify --version` prints the installed CLI version.

[Data](/docs/data) explains tables, publications, SQL results, and relationship discovery. The [building guides](/docs/building/bring-in-data) explain when those concepts become app dependencies. This reference supplies the corresponding CLI operations.
